Rodger, FSESO Certified Instructor
Rodger Instructor of Record · 647 · 654 · 2095

Rodger joined a cadet rifle team at thirteen, having grown up shooting on a farm north of Brampton. The early start became a lifetime — competitive pistol shooting through the IDPA, eleven years of formal range leadership at the club level (seven as Chief Range Safety Officer, four-plus as Safety Director), and the FSESO instructor and proctor credentials that authorize him to teach both RCMP licensing courses end-to-end.

The other half of the practice runs parallel. Since 1986 Rodger has worked in quality assurance and lean manufacturing as an ISO Lead Auditor, AS9100 Lead Auditor (aerospace), and ISO 13485 Lead Auditor (medical devices). Technical writing for military product testing has put his work in front of the Canadian Department of National Defence, the United States military, and international defense organizations.

The two sides inform each other. Compliance work demands meticulous procedure; firearms instruction rewards it. Students get an instructor who treats safety as a system, not a slogan.

Common questions.

How does payment work?+
Payment is via Interac e-transfer to the email address provided after your application is approved and a course date is set. Full payment is required to confirm your seat.
What's included in the course fee?+
All firearms, training ammunition, course materials, and exam administration. You bring government-issued photo ID, a pen, and lunch for full-day sessions. Eye and ear protection is provided; bring your own if you have them.
What's the cancellation policy?+
Full refund if cancelled seven or more days before the course date. 50% refund within three to seven days. Within 72 hours: no refund, but registration can be transferred to a future course or another student. If we cancel, you receive a full refund or rescheduling at your choice.
Do I need a license to attend?+
No. The CFSC and CRFSC are the courses you take to qualify for a license. You'll receive your test results following the course; you submit those, along with your RCMP application, to obtain your PAL/RPAL. Holster Training and Movement Drills require a valid PAL or RPAL.
Can you teach my group privately?+
Yes. Private group courses anywhere in Ontario are available for groups of four or more. A travel fee may apply for distances beyond the Brampton–Guelph–Georgetown corridor. Contact us with group size and location for a quote.
When does live-fire training launch?+
We're targeting Q3 or Q4 of 2026 once range partnerships and RCMP authorization are finalized. Join the waitlist to be notified the day it goes live.
